I am absolutely and unapologetically, and even unshamelessly a ‘to-do list’ junkie. I have talked so often about the importance of planning and having a to-do list, and my wife would describe me as someone who has a ‘to-do list for my to-do list’. It is how I function, it is how my brain works, and it is how I can effectively run a business. I recently came across a product that has completely reformed the way I operate my team and plan.
For so long, I had searched for the holy grail of to-do lists, but had never been able to find an application or a technology that ticked all the boxes for what I wanted to do. The things I wanted to be able to achieve with it are:
1. To have multiple platforms to be able to access and update and make changes to a to-do list on my phone, my iPad, my laptop, or any device that could connect to the internet. It also had to be cross platform supporting both Mac and PC.
2. The other feature that I wanted was the ability to have multiple lists, not a single to do item but to be able to categorize things.
3. I wanted to be able to share the list with other people and not the entire list, but to share an individual list with someone where we both could update, leave notes, check off items, and add new ones.
4. It had to have a nice interface. I am a little particular about the ways some things look, function and operate. So for me, almost a deal-breaker was it had to look kind of appealing.
Wunderlist has finally emerged and ticked all the boxes for me. Not only does that allow me to update across any devices that I want on any platform and share list with my team, it is also free! This incredible, new application is free! And has totally revolutionized the way that I do to-do lists and project planning with my team.
